In these times of economic hardship your donations count even more. Gedakina's programs in 2009 have reached over 2,000 people from across northern New England. While we do rely on grant awards from foundations to achieve many of our programatic goals and activities, individual donations are incredibly important, especially when it comes down to programs that we are asked to do, with a short window from conception to implementation. Also when we conduct programs such as our fall Thanksgiving Food Drive, the funds that make these types of programs successful all come from individual donations. So every dollar you can donate, really is put to good use.

Gedakina is planning to conduct winter activities for Native American youth and community members across the region to include:
Winter Tracking & Snowshoe Outings
Storytelling & Music series (With a General Public Audience Component)
Winter Cultural / Outdoor Survival
Hand-Drum making and learning/sharing traditional songs
Film & Discussion Series for community (With a General Public Audience Component)
